My name is Delphine. I was born and raised in a magnificent part of France (the Alps), and France has remained an inseparable part of who I am, even after many years of living in Israel.

I began teaching French in 2007. At first, I was self-taught, guided by my love of the French language and by my own experience of learning English, German and Hebrew, both as a teenager and later as an adult. Since then, I have earned a bachelor’s degree in teaching French as a foreign language and have taught dozens of courses for adults—in the classroom and on Zoom, from complete beginners to advanced learners.

My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some have never studied a foreign language, while others learn very quickly. Some are extremely busy with work; others remember a little French from secondary school. Some are convinced that French is a difficult language, while others are eager to speak but frustrated because French is not always pronounced as it is written. Yet by the end of each course, they are all speaking French.

I believe that knowing another language opens the door to meaningful and enriching conversations, allowing us to connect with people and discover their world.

That is why all my courses combine the different language skills (speaking, reading, writing and grammar) with insights into French culture.

My goal is to give participants the tools they need to communicate naturally and confidently, while introducing them to a slightly different world.
